Brunch at Old Town..

Had brunch with bro and cousin CK..

Me: What are you drinking ahh?

Bro: Xi Mut milk tea..

Me: Hee... you know, i heard somewhere that xi mut milk tea is made with socks.. you're drinking sock tea :D

Bro: Seriously meh.... my friend says he always drinks this at the original old town (ipoh)

Me: Yaa... i think Yi Min told me.. doesn't the name suggest socks? or stocking rather...

Bro: Ohh...really wor.. the first word is "stocking".. what's the second word ahh?

CK: dunno.. but the first word is definitely stocking ..

the conversation went on to weird jokes about how this tea came about and a whole bunch of other stuff XD .. but i really do want to know, was this tea originally made with stockings?? (of course i know old town didn't make it with socks/stockings -.-) coz i read somewhere it refers to the smooth silky texture of the tea...maybe only Hong Kong people know the answer :/ ..

on a side note.. when i open my own cafe/restaurant/bakery next time i'm going to make sure all items on the menu are served all day long! unlike some places with the breakfast menu just for breakfast.. :)
