Chain Emails ... -.- ...
Received one from a friend today.. It's the email about a guy called Chris Yeoh from Inti College.. and it was one of the silliest chain emails i've ever received..
Let me begin by saying that i used to believe in chain emails(in primary shcool and beginning of secondary school) .. the ones about if you forward then blablabla foundation will donate blabla amount to the poor family whose daughter/son/wife/husband/dad/mom are suffering some horrible illness and need a whole lotta money to get blablabla done..
Until one day i wondered to myself.. how does it work??? then i asked my bro (who is the tech-savvy one between the 2 of us..) and i remember the first time i asked him about it.. he was kinda mean about it -.- .. like i was so stupid to believe in it and forward those that i received.. much later on (after i discovered you can learn about almost anything on google XD ) i checked and true enough.. ain't no money gonna be generated like that.. so everytime i recieved those kinda emails i just delete it..
There are other kinds of chain emails.. the ones that are plain FAKE.. i received one once about some beautiful waterfall area in our beautiful country.. -.- .. thank goodness i thought it was too good to be true.. so i googled and it turned out to be somewhere else XD .. so everytime i receive chain emails or any supposedly inspiring TRUE stories i google before sending it on.. and no surprise, many of those TRUE stories are not true.. (a good site to verify these emails is Snopes
Anyways, back to the email i received today.. it has a picture to go with it and it says:
(You'll have to highlight to see the text.. i tried to change font colour but couldn't..sorry )
Right after seeing this i was very skeptical and it sounded more like a sick joke his friends played on him.. so i googled and nothing turned up.. His email is attached to the email so searching on facebook couldn't hurt right..? i searched and this guy exists.. really does study at INTI.. and clicking on the older posts of his wall shows his statement that we should ignore the email and investigations are ongoing..
The good and bad of technology all in one -.- ... i feel like i've accomplished a mission XD .. but there's a bigger mission on my table waiting to be accomplished.. holiday work O.O ...

Hi, my name is Chris Yeoh. I am 19 years old, and I have testicle cancer .. I also have a large penile fracture, from repeated beatings. Doctors say I will die soon if this isn't fixed, and my family can't pay the bills.
The Make A Wish Foundation, has agreed to donate 50 cents for every time this message is sent on.
For those of you who send this along, I thank you so much, but for those who don't send it, what goes around comes around. Have a Heart, please send this.
Please, if you are a kind person, send this on. PLEASE HIT FORWARD BUTTON NOT REPLY BUTTON.

Hi..
glad to see there are people who verify emails before forwarding too :) ..
i usually feel guilty if i'm passing on false info so i try to make sure it's true before sending ;)
I work for INTI and would like to thank you for clarifying this issue as our office has received numerous inquiries with regards to the validity of the email.
Your investigation is greatly appreciated.
1) Make A Wish Foundation is for CHILDREN ONLY...
Their mission is...
"We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy."
Check their website if you want - http://www.wish.org/about/our_mission
2) About the 50 cents thing...
There is no such thing as an e-mail tracker..... there is no way to properly track all emails, counting them and paying $ to another person. No way…
An ISP may be able to track their own emails from their own domain/IP range accurately, but never will they be able to track emails from other domains/IP range accurately. The only way to do it is to have all ISPs in the world reporting to a single DB... which is IMPOSSIBLE!
3) "... but for those who don't send it, what goes around comes around."
Hello?! What in the world??!! A SINCERE, HONEST person would have NEVER asked for help this way! PUHLEEEEEEEEEEEZZZ!!!
