Holidays....

Holidays have started since last saturday!! but seems pretty dull up to now.... missed shien chen and jane's birthday party because of the crappy marathon and the stupid marathon club ppl... they told us to reach school by 4am...madness... i was planning to go to the party until 9pm at least coz at first they set the time at 5am to reach school... so didn't go for the party in the end... haih...and when i got to school on sunday morning at 4am...we weren't leaving yet... we left the school around 5 ish close to 6..... the anger~~~....and when we got to RMAF we our category had another 45minutes before the event started... just pure horror.. but that's that.. didn't do too well this time... all the extra weight and lack of exercise due to exams..haih...

Hmm.. the only nice thing that happened so far i guess would be Rachel's birthday... :) ... my favourite niece :) ... she turned 2 on tuesday...and every birthday of hers i'm reminded of when my cousin just gave birth to her... the good thing is her birthday is right at the start of holidays... and when she was just born i went to see her almost everyday..though she'd be sleeping most of the time but i tink i went to keep cousin company too... all that chinese traditional confinement stuff made her pretty bored i tink... she got loads of presents this time.. coz it kinda ended up in us giving her separate presents... my bro and i gave her a towel and sunglasses..mum gave her a baby lookalike doll and dad gave her a pendant... she looked like she thought the baby doll was real... and when we wanted to put the milk bottle or pacifier that came with the doll into the doll's mouth she wouldn't let us.... but after she went to sleep we put in the batteries for the doll...whacked the doll's butt, hung her from her foot..haha...kinda fun... but it was also a nice little family gathering..

the only crappy part about holdays nowadays is there is still tuition class....haih... holidays used to be more fun... and the previous exams made me tink abt revising my work but i tink i wont in the end..haha..piano exams are coming.... and yimin and i gotta really work our butts off coz we chose a different song to perform on the real day... anyone wanna come watch :) ?

I think this year is a good year :) ...somehow things are going really well...
First off... on the 25th of April i entered my last ever cooking competition in SMJK Kwang Hua...My partner is still Huai Ping (we entered in form3 and form4 as well...) and we decided to make things simpler this time...no fancy shmancy stuff and just go and have fun... so we decided on pasta and she wanted to make cookies but i thought brownies was easier so brownies it was... and this time we only practised once... oh...and she made a lime juice thingy as an extra... good for washing things down :) ... we didn't expect to win or anything coz we were so calm... while the form 4's were all screaming and hustling each other...hehe... so in the end we got 1st place :D ... partly coz we don't use those prego sauces... i used tomato paste and canned tomatoes and real tomatoes and some ketchup..herbs..pepper...meat... and that's our sauce from scratch... so maybe that earned us some points..
Then..there's this annual thing held by the Drama, Music and Choir club... we go compete in school first then i think we gotta go compete with other schools...So my piano teacher knew about this from her old students and asked me to go... to get over my stage fright.. so..fine... since its my last year..why not.. then Yimin asked if we wanted to do a duet... then i thought again...why not..? so i entered for solo and duet category... my solo song was my exam piece and for the duet yimin wanted to do military march which is nice..but kinda hard to learn in such a short period of time.. so i persuaded her to do the one page song Blue Parrot Rag.. real cute and jazzy...so we thought why not just go and have fun? its a fun song so we added some extra bits here and there for a more dramatic performance..muahahaha... i think we practised 3 times together and all went well...The performance was on 3rd of May (saturday) and yimin and i got matching outfits for this event... Solo performances came first followed by duets and then dancing was the last event...singing was in the morning... for my solo..haha.. i never got over my stage fright... my hands ran on their own while they were shivering... mistakes here and there...not good... so i had time to relax after that but somehow for the duet i didn't feel scared... maybe coz there was someone with me... and i think we made no mistakes and it all went according to plan :) .... but we didn't hope for anything... so they would put up the results on monday..which is today... Reccess came and off we went to the bulletin board... and i searched for my name in the solo section but it wasn't there
..oh well i saw that coming... but i looked to the duet section and there it was

we couldn't believe it.... then we started laughing like idiots -.-''' ..... but now we have to compete again... haih.... and wednesday will be m Bio exam... which i am very unprepared for...haih... been slacking :P .... so i guess its time to go study study study... :(
