Get used to saying Goodbye....

coz as you grow up you'll be saying this over and over....
This time we have to say goodbye to our Chemistry lecturer, Mr Kok Yik Lim (who apparently many of us have googled..haha... ) in 2 weeks time...
I guess when people find something better in life..all we can do is wish them well and move on.. But it's quite a shame..coz he is a good lecturer.. Not everyoone can teach something and get the message across... haih... once again.. all good things must come to an end...

And when we were having a small farewell gathering for Qi on wednesday, Joeann told us she went back to Kwang Hua the other day...and Pn Chong Wai Yee already left :( ... she was my Physics teacher and I won't say she's the best of all teachers but I can't say she's lousy either coz sometimes... ok not some... but many times in form 5 i fell asleep in her class and Bio also (since I'm confessing already) so I probably missed the important parts and when I wake up I'm totally lost...

But I felt kinda indebted to her coz... I owe her an A... in form 4 i was short of one mark to an A and after begging her she said ok but in form 5 i had to pay her back with an A... sadly I did not give her back an A but I gave her C's ...hopefully in SPM it's not gonna be like that... but there's no way for me to tell her my results when I get it 2 weeks from now, is there? since she is all the way in JOHOR o.O ... this came as a shock mainly because I heard she was just going to Shah Alam but now to hear that she's in JOHOR?? and we don't have any way to contact her :'( ... at least i think we don't have any way of contacting her...hmm...

And as mentioned above Qi is leaving soon... she waited for so long .. finally it's here :) ... this is not so much a surprise coz we kinda saw it coming... it was just a matter of when... but i'm gonna miss her... funny how you only know some people for 2 years and it feels like you've known them for decades...

And meeting back with the 5 buddies all at once brought back loads of memories... it made me think back a lot about secondary school... all the good and bad times... and i miss it all... i miss the old classrooms... even the new classroom with a whole in the floor... i miss the cool wind that blows in when it rains... i miss the fans and open windows... starting to not really like the air-conditiong in college coz it dries up the skin and gets really really cold sometimes...though that's another story.... i miss sweeping the floor on monday ... i miss the sheltered basketball courts... i miss walking back from school with bro in form 3 and form 4... That's part of the reason why I can't wait for the SPM results to be released!!! I can't wait to walk up that path again...can't wait to smell.... mm... come to think of it the only thing you can really smell is the toilets... but when you're near the field or when it rains there's a bit of grassy freshy smell... can't wait to see everybody again... can't wait to see the teachers again... and also take a peek at the new principal...which is also another story of its own ....

But it seems like we always take everything for granted... we never learn to appreciate something, someone, places or even seemingly insignificant moments until they no longer belong to us... hopefully this is a reminder to myself to appreciate everyone..everything..every moment more.. no matter how simple, normal or insignificant it is...

meaningless post...

Been a while since I updated... this is one of those pretty meaningless posts i guess...

Nothing much been going on...as usual... but I went for basketball training yesterday and it was hell...haha.. Coz there were only two girls... and the girl trainer didn't come so we had to join in with the guys.. when they did all those stamina training ... I was all out of water... quickly went to buy water.... else might have collapsed..haha... when we came back they were done with the torture... but i guess this is due to the fact that i haven't been exercising much.... grr... and haven't been losing weight ... but hopefully i wont be too lazy..hehe...

Ohh...and before basketball yesterday had lunch with yimin and peiwen... then yimin told us about their class seeing a guy with a bouquet (argh...how do you spell that word??) of roses yesterday so they decided to stick around and see the girl... but then.... no girl appeared...instead...it was another guy..... o.O ... they were shocked... i didn't see it myself but i suppose... that's the way the world is now eh... people being more open about themselves...so much more expressive.. (i shared the story with mum, dad and bro and dad was disgusted..coz of the money the dude wasted after being sent there by parents and stuff..)
even before practice I was at the cafeteria reading something...then a couple walked in... girl with a rose in hand.. the guy carrying her stuff i think.. then i was checking the time when i saw them hugging... "odd place to hug" was all that I thought of... when suddenly they kissed on the lips ...surprisingly i wasn't disgusted.... haha... all i thought about was how open they could be and how unsuitable the location was -.- ...

Then during dinner we were watching Miss Potter ... and bro and I were arguing with Dad about the setting of the movie and all those social stuff in that time... and then came the part where Miss Potter and Mr Warne kissed and it was a very mild one.. then I said "Last time don't have like that one" ... Then dad said "I know lahh... and you're not supposed to see this." ... which was really a (-.-)''' moment because...

1. I have watched lots of movies with dad.. and some of them do involve kissing
2. I'm 17... surely I have seen movies that do involve kissing ... because when you're this old you'll definitely come across some movies of that kind...
3. We have been to weddings where the newly-weds were forced to kiss each other..
4. We have been overseas to countries with... rather expressive people..
5. Even books talk about kissing....

It got me thinking if it really was a BAD thing... if it was a SIN... i mean.. kissing is another way of expressing love, no? when people see kissing on the cheeks it is more acceptable somehow... watching it doesn't mean we will do it.. and this led to the wondering of whether Asians of the generation above us ever kiss each other... if all they ever do was... talk.. laugh.. tickle.. come to think of it ... tickling does involve some physical-ness doesn't it? and you don't exactly tickle random people... you tickle your loved ones... friends and family usually..

told you it was a meaningless post ..haha.. hmm... i'm 1 hr and 17 minutes late but Happy Valentine's Day everyone ...

It's starting to get to me that maybe... I shouldn't be doing sciences... since when was I ever a very scientific person...? since when did i have the passion for science? or do i even have any interest in it actually?

People always tell you to do something that you love.. something that is your passion...
but they also remind you to be practical.. and tell you to do something that you love AND are good at... and when you love something but you might not really be great at it or it's just not "practical" people will just say :"Do you think you can handle that??" or even say stuff to scare you out of doing something that you love..

Despite having started college.. i still haven't made up my mind... and i'm not too sure if this path is the right one but hopefully it'll be fine...
